At the Bradford Barracudas, we're always welcoming new paddlers. We're an inclusive bunch who fell in love the sport and are always singing its praises to everyone we meet!
Whether you're looking for a new challenge, a chance to meet new people, an opportunity to increase fitness or just a new hobby... give us a go! As a sport Dragon Boating provides all over fitness: Your core (hips and back) help to give you the 'reach forward' with your paddle. Your arms and shoulders help 'power down' into the water with each stroke Your legs help kick for extra power Muscles gain strength through training and of course cardio is covered off with various rates and distances of paddling. Do you need any experience to paddle? NO! All of our current members hopped into a dragon boat for the first time with no experience, every session we learn something new and most importantly... we have fun doing it!!
